AT HOME INDEPENDENT TRANSCRIPTIONISTS
(TRANSCRIBERS) and/or DATA ENCODERS
We are seeking a few people with a good use of English, typing skills and a basic knowledge of internet and computer usage to transcribe audio files which we will send attached to e-mails into written transcripts. (In some cases we will send CD's containing the audio files). Our Firm Does Legal Transcription only! (Since 1991) No medical transcriptions.
Examples of said files are interviews, statements, dispatch tapes, etc..
Transcriptions may be done at home, office or at internet café as is done by some of our best Filipina transcriptionists in the Philippines.
The process is simple. (1) We send segmented audio files attached to emails (or send CD containing the audio to be transcribed); (2) Typists, Transcriptionists (also referred to as data encoders) simply listen to the audio (Using Windows Media Player or Similar Program) and type word-for-word everything that is heard on the audio file. (3) The completed transcript is then emailed back to us, wherein we proof read and make any needed corrections, prepare and print transcripts for final use; and (4) We send payment via Western Union and/or directly into your Citibank account.
Typing speed of about 40 wpm (words per minute) is helpful, but not necessary since payment is made by the page and not by the hour. However, naturally the faster you type the more pages you can complete and the more you can earn. (NOTE: We do not deduct or penalize for misspelled or misunderstood words as some companies do, as long as 80% of transcription is correct.)
All audio files and transcriptions are done in English.
